Future Taxpayers Impress MRA

Future Taxpayers Impress MRA

On May 31st 2017, the Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) was happy to welcome future taxpayers to their exhibition stand at the Malawi International Trade Fair in Blantyre.

As it is a custom every year, primary school pupils are accorded free entrance to the trade fair to experience the event.

It was impressive to see that the pupils were already conversant with some tax issues during the time MRA officials asked them trivia questions. The questions focused on MRA and prizes were given out to those who answered correctly.

Officials from MRA interacted with the children by showing them MRA produced TV shows- to watch and teaching them the importance of paying taxes and how this plays a vital role in the development of our nation.

The pupils were very excited to learn about MRA and asked plenty of questions.

Winners and participants of the competition came from Mini-me Academy, Lunzu and Nanjenge Primary Schools.
