REGISTRATION OF NEW CUSTOMS CLEARING AGENTS – RE-ADVERTISED

The Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) is informing the business community to apply and register as a Customs Clearing Agent for the 2017/18 financial year. Applications should be submitted to the Authority by Friday, 8th September 2017 and must be accompanied by the following supporting documents as stipulated in the Customs & Excise Act:
•A valid certified copy of certificate of registration or incorporation
•Names of shareholders of the company of the applicant or its holding company, if any
•Tax clearance certificate
•Taxpayer Identification Number (TPIN) or a copy of Value Added Tax (VAT) certificate
Please, note that a non- refundable application fee of K10, 000.00 would be required and must be accompanied by the application.
Applicants are also required to submit three Curriculum Vitaes of the key personnel in the establishment and these must have at least 3 years’ experience in clearing and should have Clearing Certificate (Shipping) obtained from a recognized institution.
