Douglas brings
over 20 years of extensive experience in Customs management. He holds a Master
of Science in International Trade Policy and Trade Law from the Lund School of
Economics and Management in Sweden, a Master of Business Administration (MBA)
from the Eastern and Southern African Management Institute (ESAMI), and a
Bachelor of Education in Mathematical Sciences from the University of Malawi.
With a deep understanding of Customs operations and strategic management, Douglas has played a pivotal role in advancing MRA’s strategic objectives. His career at MRA has seen him serve in various critical roles within the Customs Division, including Acting Commissioner of Customs and Excise, where he demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise.
Douglas’s leadership and vision are invaluable as the MRA continues to pursue its mission of enhancing revenue mobilization and fostering economic development in Malawi.
