The Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) is pleased to announce the launch of the Customs e-Tariff, a digital tool designed to enhance accessibility and efficiency in tariff classification.
The e-Tariff Tool transforms the traditional Malawi Tariff Book, previously available only in paper format, into a convenient online resource accessible via MRA’s website.
Users can easily search and browse tariff classifications, view applicable duty rates, and access other relevant tax and levy information for specific harmonised tariff codes.
In addition, the e-Tariff Tool includes a Duty Estimator, enabling traders to calculate estimated duties and taxes for goods they intend to import.
MRA encourages Customs Agents, cross-border traders, manufacturers, importers, and distributors to utilise the e-Tariff for a more efficient and streamlined customs clearance process.
