The Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) is conducting Msonkho Online Portal registration exercise which is aimed at registering all taxpayers onto the Msonkho Online. The exercise which is currently underway will run until January, 2022.
Msonkho Online system is a web-based application that is designed to enable taxpayers transact business with MRA online anytime of the day. The services include filing tax returns, making payments, making certificate requests, account statements, accounts status, among others.
In view of this, all taxpayers who are already registered for tax and have a Taxpayer Identification Number (TPIN) are requested to register for portal credentials in order to access Msonkho Online services. Kindly register on Msonkho Online for portal credentials by logging on to MRA’s website www.mra.mw and click on Taxpayer Log. On Taxpayer Login page, click on Register now and fill the details required.
If you need any assistance during the portal registration process, call for free the Call Centre number 672 from TNM and MTL lines or email callcentre@mra.mw.
To support the registration process, the Authority through the Call Centre will be calling taxpayers to assist them to register on the portal. Call Centre officers will identify themselves as MRA call agents and will be able to answer questions about the Msonkho Online system.
Please, note that the assistance rendered by the call centre officers is completely free. Emails and SMSs will also be sent to taxpayers with a link to follow and register at their own convenience.
In a related development, Value Added Tax (VAT) operators will from this month, November 2021, be able to file their October return on Msonkho Online, if they are registered for portal credentials.
