Know Your Customer (KYC)

The Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) will be conducting Know Your Customer (KYC) exercise in order to update taxpayers’ data base. The exercise is expected to start from 6th March, 2019 to 31st May, 2019. All registered taxpayers are, therefore, required to fill the KYC forms. 

There are two forms: for individual taxpayers and organizations. The forms can be collected from any MRA office nearest to the taxpayer or can be downloaded from the MRA website.  The following are the links to download the forms on the MRA website;

Taxpayers should provide their business details on the form. Filled forms should be delivered at any nearest MRA office or can be emailed to: kyc@mra.mw.  

The exercise is only intended to update taxpayer information and enhance easy communication with the taxpayer. 

Failure to submit the filled form will result in MRA imposing penalties as stipulated by law.
